Kim Ellner
Yoga Instructor

Kim Ellner is the founder of Yoga West. Her love of yoga began in 2001 and is based on its physicality, breath work, concepts and community of followers. Kim was born with a displaced hip and underwent numerous months of body casting as an infant. Following that, she wore leg braces. Diagnosed later with scoliosis, she wore a full body brace during her teenage years.

Her teaching method is to personalize the yoga experience to make the most of each student’s strength, flexibility and capabilities.

Irene Jelinek
Yoga Instructor

Irene first found yoga as a safe place to balance out the chaos of life’s events.  Finding solace in the savasana at the end of each yoga practice helped her overcome and deal with issues resulting from PTSD.  “Coming to the mat to practice” is how Irene balances her life and lead her to become a certified RYT 200 vinyasa flow yoga teacher.  Irene has worked as a special education teacher and now works with adults with disabilities and has also been trained in PTSD yoga.  Irene received her certification at Satsang Yoga Studio in Westfield, NJ and her PTSD training at Central Mass Yoga and Wellness, Inc. in West Boylston,  MA.

Irene’s life experiences have lead her to a spiritual and physical path that brought her to yoga and her desire to share her experience, strength and hope with others.  Irene firmly believes that people can transcend their trauma through yoga practices and has years of recovery experience to share.  Irene would like to thank all her teachers and “life experierences” for making her the person she is today.
