If you are troubled with depression, you are not alone. Twenty-five thousand other Americans are in the same boat. But the symptoms that keep you from enjoying life fully can be managed In Yoga to Beat the Blues. In this class a balance of specific breathing exercises, yoga postures and deep relaxation lifts the mood by changing brain chemistry and oxygenating the blood and body. The “inner dialogue” is redirected. The body becomes profoundly relaxed, freeing it to renew and repair. The immediate result of a Beat the Blues class is a sense of well being and lightness. Done regularly over time, one can enjoy relief from the burdens of low mood. No yoga experience is necessary.
Mommy & Me Yoga
Mommy & Me classes are a fun way to reconnect with your body while enjoying time with your baby. It's a great way to take part in an understanding community of other new moms! You are more than welcome to bring extra blankets, stuffed animals, and your stroller into the studio during these classes, though The Yoga Room provides all props needed for class including the yoga mat! Caregivers and Dads welcome, too!
Prenatal Yoga
A calming practice designed to help alleviate common aches and pains of pregnancy while preparing for labor by maintaining flexibility in the muscles as well as building strength to ensure an easier labor and post-partum recovery. No prior yoga experience is required.
Yoga for Fibromyalgia
Gentleness marks this class. Cooling and relaxing breath work and gentle stretches in key areas of the body address the soft tissue pain, depression and fatigue that characterize this disorder. This yoga practice is designed to nurture soft tissues, and calm the nervous system. Each class ends with deep relaxation allowing the body and mind to renew. No yoga experience is necessary.
Yoga for Reproductive Health
This series is specifically designed to relax tight muscles and connective tissue, to improve blood flow and increase circulation to the low back, hips, groin and pelvis. This aids in healthier gynecological functioning. Utilizing breathing techniques, the body relaxes lowering stress hormones like cortisol, which can hinder reproductive hormone functioning. This series is meant to be in conjunction with your acupuncture treatments to maximize your results. All levels are welcome. Preregistration required.
YogaBlend
Inspired by a blend of yoga traditions, these classes are taught by teachers who study more than one yoga discipline. Like a patchwork quilt, the fusion of teachings from different lineages lead to a unique class. This style also allows space for the teacher’s creativity to shine. Students can expect classes with a balance of precise instruction, alignment with breath, and fluid movement. Classes are carefully themed to deepen the students' experience of yoga.
Some experience required. The class is synthesis of asanas (yoga exercise), pranayama (breathing practices), meditation and positive intention building class that will enhance vitality, well being and strengthening in your body/mind while uplifting your heart.

Tween Yoga (Ages 8-12)
This class is for ages 8-12 years old. If there is a sibling above the age of 5 they are invited to join! This class offers a fun way to address postural alignment, core strenthening and body awareness in the Tween age range.
Yoga practice produces a natural calming effect which will help improve attention and reduce hyperactivity. We know you are all looking for a way for your kdis to decompress after a busy, over stimulating day at school!
Yoga for Postural Alignment (Level 1) -75 minutes
This class specializes in improving posture, strengthening back and core muscles, increasing flexibility and balance, and alleviating stress. Yoga postures are tailored to the specific physical uniqueness of each student.
Class includes instruction and guidance of at home exercises to reinforce proper alignment and prevent injury. Ideal class for those with chronic neck and back pain or spinal curvature. (1hr and 15mins)
*Level 1- The perfect class for beginners and move advanced students who are interested in revisiting the foundational aspects of yoga. Learn the basics of postures & breathing techniques in this safe and encouraging class.
Yoga for Postural Alignment (Level 2) -75 minutes
This class specializes in improving posture, strengthening back and core muscles, increasing flexibility and balance, and alleviating stress. Yoga postures are tailored to the specific physical uniqueness of each student. Class includes instruction and guidance of at home exercises to reinforce proper alignment and prevent injury. Ideal class for those with chronic neck and back pain or spinal curvature. (1hr and 15mins)
*Level 2- Moving at a faster pace, this class builds on the foundational poses from level 1. Continue to enchance your strength, endurance and flexibility through more complicated postures. Ideal for the active student who is healing from an injury or surgery and desires a more physical work out while still getting specific, hands on guidance.

Discover your Radiant Health with Easy Chair Yoga. This class offers simple yoga poses, breathing exercises, deep relaxation and meditation performed sitting in a chair or with the support of a chair. The class is designed to help you regain flexibility, strength and vitality that may have been lost due to a sedentary lifestyle or illness. The result is a peaceful mind and a more radiant body.
