Kim Fong - M.S., Ac.; M.A., P.T.

Kim has been practicing as a progressive healthcare professional for over fifteen years. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree in biological sciences with a minor in psychology from Rutgers College in 1991. She furthered her interest in the human body and movements with a Master’s degree in physical therapy and a Bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Touro College in 1995. Kim then pursued and received a second graduate degree, the Master’s in acupuncture and Bachelor’s in professional studies from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in 2001. Her continuing education studies focus on Neuro-muscular Development Technique training with Lois Bly; TAMO techniques; MFR (myofascial release) techniques with the renowned John Barnes; Muscle Energy Technique with Shirley Sahrmann; Craniosacral Therapy from the Upledger Institute, Yin Yoga with Sarah Powers and Tai Chi/Qi Gong studies. Kim holds certifications in Advanced Acupuncture Training from the nationally recognized Institute of Integrated Medicine of Fu Dan University (formerly Shanghai University) in Shanghai, China (2001), Facial Rejuvenation with Acupuncture (2003), and Yin Yoga (2007).

Kim is a licensed/certified acupuncturist and physical therapist in New Jersey. She is a professional member of the New Jersey Association for Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine and the American Society of Reproductive Medicine. In addition, Kim is a Diplomate in Acupuncture and is Nationally Board Certified (NCCAOM).

Kim has been featured in several newspapers including The Courier News and The Suburban News. Kim also had the opportunity to appear as a guest on “To Your Health”, a public access talk show, to discuss integrative medicine in Western society.  Her most recent work is a published research study on Laser Acupuncture and Improved Delivery Rates for fertility patients. (Laser acupuncture before and after embryo transfer improves ART delivery rates: results of a prospective randomized double-blinded placebo controlled five-armed trial involving 1000 patients.
